The most celebrated day of the year!
Check out this website of the most beautiful city in the world:

Today is officially Australia Day, January 26th.
Much like our Canada Day, lots of festive activities, food venues and evening fireworks. Deb and I will spend the day in downtown Sydney at the Harbour where they have the famous Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge:
I have been watching the temperature and weather in Edmonton sounds not too bad for January. I hope it keeps fairly warm. Australia is a little cooler than normal at 24 C on average.
There is lots of locally grown fruit available in all the stores, so we have been enjoying cherries, peaches, plums, kiwi, and pineapples; not bad for January!
I am getting better at driving . . . on the opposite side of the road!
From time to time I'll forget and drive out from a parking lot into oncoming traffic!! Most people here just laugh and smile, knowing we must be from some other country!
Off to join the celebrations in the Harbour!

By reading your most recent blog, I felt obligated to give a more accurate description of Edmontons Weather.
Current Conditions: -30 C
With Wind Chill: -42 C
Snow: LOTS
Snow drifts: LOTS
Status of School: Still Open.
What is wrong with us Canadians? As far as I am concerned, -42 C should cause the whole city to close .... we are officially CRAZY. Obviously, our brains are frozen over...
Awsome pictures Ray. Keep sending them our way!
I wouldn't have thought you'd have trouble adjusting to driving on the other side of the road. You did that for half the time on our roads! You just didn't get ticketed for doing it here. Just don't drive on their sidewalks.
Ray: Where are you?? We are anxiously awaiting news of your most recent adventures. Spiders, snakes, alligators, ...
PS: Alex recently asked me if it was normal not to feel his fingertips. I told him "Only in Canada".
Alex has been a wonderful addition to our staff.
